Wind Advisory
Montgomery County and Walker County10/28/2025 11:48 AM
* WHAT...Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 35 to 45 mph
expected.
* WHERE...Portions of south central and southeast Texas.
* WHEN...From 5 PM this afternoon to 7 PM CDT Wednesday.
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects.
Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may
result.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Winds will increase from the northwest
later today into this evening behind a cold front. Winds will
remain elevated through Wednesday. Lulls in the wind are
expected and not everyone will experience advisory level winds
during the entire duration of the event.Instructions: Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

SHSU students and employees can sign up for text message alerts with the following steps:
- Login to your KatSafe Emergency Contact Information Preferences
- Under “Phone”, ensure that “(txt & voice)” is beside your phone number. If it is not, select the “Add” button.
- In the pop up, enter your phone number, select “txt & voice” then select the “Add” button
Measles Information
